Jimmy Loftis is a law enforcement professional with more than 27 years of public service and currently serves as a Detective with the El Paso Police Department. During his ten years with EPPD, he has worked in criminal investigations, human trafficking, Vice, and patrol, developing the experience and leadership needed to keep communities safe.
Before moving to El Paso, Jimmy proudly served for 18 years as a Police Officer in Detroit, where he built a reputation for community policing, integrity, and protecting the public. Throughout his career, he has dedicated himself to serving others with professionalism, fairness, and compassion.
Now, Jimmy is running for El Paso County Constable to continue that mission of service. He is committed to protecting seniors from fraud and abuse, standing up for renters, and ensuring rural communities receive the attention and resources they deserve. Jimmy believes the Constable's Office should be visible, accessible, and responsive to every resident.
Jimmy understands that public safety is about more than making arrests. it is about building trust, preventing crime, and protecting the most vulnerable members of our community. As your Constable, he will work every day to strengthen partnerships with neighborhoods, businesses, and local law enforcement while providing professional, dependable service to everyone in El Paso County.

My Family
Jimmy Loftis has been happily married to his wife, Iliana Hernandez Loftis, for 22 years.
Originally from Juárez, Iliana moved to Detroit at the age of 18 to pursue her education and has since built a successful career as a business owner in the beauty industry, serving clients for more than 20 years.
Together, Jimmy and Iliana are proud parents of two children. Their son, Angelo, is 13 years old, and their daughter, Sophia, is a Senior at Texas State University, where she is pursuing a degree in Finance and has aspiration to attend Law School.
After retiring from law enforcement in Detroit, Jimmy and Iliana chose to make El Paso their home. For the past 10 years, they have embraced the community, built lasting friendships, and raised their family here. They are proud to call El Paso home and remain committed to serving and giving back to the community that has welcomed them.
